EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr. Aston’s medical degree was obtained from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. His post-doctoral training included a surgical internship as well as residency at the University of California, UCLA Medical Center. He was a Halsted Fellow in Surgery at John Hopkins Hospital prior to being Chief Resident at UCLA. Dr Aston’s training continued as a Plastic Surgery Resident and Chief Resident at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, New York University Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and holds board certification to practice in New York, California, Florida, and Virginia.

Dr. Aston organizes the annual “Cutting Edge Aesthetic Surgery Symposium” in New York, and has authored many original journal articles, book chapters, and textbooks. He is an internationally renowned teacher of aesthetic surgery and has lectured extensively across the United States, Brazil, Canada, Dubai, China, England, France, Iran, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and New Zealand. Dr Aston has performed live surgical procedures in other countries including Brazil, China, Iran, Spain, and Turkey. In 2016, Dr. Aston performed a facelift demonstration in Rio on closed circuit television at the annual Symposium of the Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plastica Regional Rio de Janerio. Today, he continues to make teaching videotapes on various aesthetic procedures.

• The Simon Fredricks Award, which is presented to the individual who is judged the Best Panelist at the ASAPS/ASERF annual meeting
